Five Simple Pedicure Tips For Beautiful Feet

Finally freeing your feet from the binding shoes and socks of winter feels oh-so delicious. Toes just need to be naked sometimes…or all summer. Walking around with your tootsies completely bare except for a pair of flops can make you feel light and airy and no summer feels complete without squishing sand between your toes or splashing your unbound feet in some sort of cool, refreshing body of water.

Taking care of your feet is as important as taking care of your facial skin. You go to salons for expensive treatment of feet. These salons do expensive pedicure and cost you a lot of bucks. Do you know that you can get beautiful feet at your home. You can make your feet soft, supple, glowing and fair at your home by simple home remedies. There is no need to go to salons to spend your time and money.

Trim Nails

Carefully trim and cut your toenails with a pair of nail clippers or scissors. Be careful not to cut them to short or you would damage the nail bed or worse make it bleed. Always use a good quality and clean (preferably sterilised) pair of clippers and cut them straight across. This will reduce the risk of ingrown nails from cutting down the sides. However, cutting straight across often leads to sharp corners which need to be filed carefully with a special file called a 'blacks file' by podiatrists or an 'ingrown toenail file' by pedicurists.

Salt water

Add some salt in that warm water to soften and cleanse the feet. Let salt dissolve in water. This will help you to clear the dead skin and calluses. Rubbing and massaging the feet with salt will accelerate your peripheral blood flow as well. Salt granules should remove any dead skin for a softer look and touch. You can also use a soft brush to get rid of excess of dead skin.

Shea butter

Shea butter has become a favourite beauty product lately. Not only does it remove patches of dry skin from the feet when you apply it, it also gives it a healthy inner glow. It is especially important in summers because it helps in getting rid of skin rash caused by the immense heat.

Use vinegar

In case you did not know, a few drops of vinegar will make wonders with your toenails. You can forget about yellow nails if you wipe them with vinegar. Make sure that your nails are clean, without any transparent nail polish, for this trick to work.

Pumice stone

This stone is every girl's best friend when it comes to home pedicures. The pumice stone comes in very handy in removing dead cells and dry skin care patches from the feet and keep them soft.
