It’s important to know what you’ve got coming your way, so we’ve compiled a list of 5 games coming this year to keep a close eye on. There’s a lot of other games to look for, but these are five that are guaranteed to spark some interest.
Brothers In Arms 3
One of the best war shooter series on the mobile market is Brothers in Arms, and 2014 will host the release of the third in this series. There’s isn’t too much we know about this mobile game yet, but there’s a five minute game-play video available at Touch Arcade that displays some of the key game mechanics. The graphics looks fantastic, the game looks like a lot of fun, and this is definitely going to be a huge hit this upcoming year. Brothers in Arms 3 will be released on both iOS and Android.
Attack on Titan
The formula is quite simple: a successful anime series with giant robots, wrapped up in Clash-of-Clans gameplay. Hence, a Clash of Clans with giant robots. It’ll be brought to us by Mobage, but we don’t know (yet) if it’ll be a mere clone or actually bring much needed fresh breeze to the genre.
Jungle Rumble
This game requires a little sound and excellent listening skills when you need to use the drum beat in the audio to simply help your horse family move from tree to tree and throw coconuts in the other group of monkeys who would like to takeover the jungle. If you would like to save lots of your horse family’s home from the invaders timing is everything!
Revolution 60
Definitely one of the most unique games we will see this year is Revolution 60, and personally, I’m very interested in seeing how this game plays out. Essentially, it’s an extremely story driven game, that is actually designed to play like you’re going through a full movie. If you’ve ever played the game Heavy Rain for PS3, you’ll have a pretty good idea of how Revolution 60 will likely be played. These games can be a little boring for those who are more interested in an action packed game rather than a well thought out story-line, but I’ve got a feeling Revolution 60 is going to be able to appeal to a very wide spectrum of players. Revolution 60 will be released on iOS Only.
Chaos Reborn
This is a treat for old school gamers. Chaos was a Spectrum game in the mid-80s about (up to) 8 mages crosscasting summoned minions and bluffing with illusion creatures. These last years, many garage developers have brought it back, but nobody dared to expand the game with regard to both graphics and gameplay… until now, when the original dev has taken matters into his own hands.
