New Year's Eve party
is
the best time to play games, even if the event is definitely an
adults-only affair. Pick games that connect with New Year's thematically. For
example, make a game according to guest's resolutions or a game featuring trivia
concerning the previous year. While these games are targeted
at adults, any teenagers or children in the party may want to get in
around the fun too. Whatever the situation, New Year’s Eve party games should always be fun!
Guess The Resolution
An interesting game would be to have couples show how good they know each other by guessing one another's New Year's Resolutions, a la The Newlywed Game. Take one member of the pair into a separate room, and get the remaining person to write down what she thinks her partner's resolution was. Possess the other partner do the same in another room. Then obtain the two back together and see if the answers complement. Those with matching answers are the winners.
Guess the Resolution
Give each member of the party five slips of paper plus a pencil. Ask them to write down five resolutions without recording their names. Place all of the resolutions in the hat and mix them up. Pull slips out of the hat individually and see if your guests solution which person came up with the resolution. You can do this one at a time as a sort of running game through the party or it can be done just like a sit down activity with your guests recording their answers.
New Year’s Rock Band
Farmville requires a collection of hand-crank noisemakers, party blowers, kazoos, pots, pans and wooden spoons. These things will be your guests’ instruments as they play an alternate on the popular Guess That Tune game. Split the audience into two teams. These teams will probably be dueling rock bands. Have one team select four members being their band for the turn and whisper the name of an audio lesson to the band members. The band must then take part in the song using their instruments because the rest of their teammates try to guess. They gets a point if they have the song correct. Repeat exactly the same step with the other team.
Newsmakers
Take name tags, and write the name of a famous individual who enjoyed a triumph (or perhaps a spectacular scandal) in the past year on each tag. Make enough for every guest. As each guest arrives, put the name tag on his back. Guests should ask one another "yes" or "no" questions to discover the identities they have been assigned. When a guest feels sure they know the answer, he can check in using the hostess. The first person to guess the identity of the newsmaker benefits.
