Most Popular Outdoor Acitivities in Honolulu

Honolulu, like famous cities in Hawaii, offers one of the most popular destination during this time of the year. A major hub for international business, military defense, as well as famously being host to a diverse variety of east-west and Pacific culture, cuisine, and traditions, Honolulu provides the tourists and locals wonderful and fun-filled outdoor activities that makes it a promising haven for those who love adventure and fun.

As the capital of Hawaii, Honolulu is always alive with action. There are lots of fun things to do in Honolulu, including soaking up sun on the amazing beaches of Oahu island, taking a stroll through a scenic park, going on a hike, or learning about Hawaii’s unique history.

Sea Life Park

Fun for everyone and ideal for children, this marine park lets you get up-close with all sorts of creatures who live in, or depend on, the sea for their well-being. Atlantic and Pacific bottlenose dolphins regale audiences with their antics, and penguins clown around with each other. You can also watch trainers feed fish and interact with the animals.

Ocean Sports

Hawaii is one of the world’s headquarters when it comes to surfing and other ocean water sports. The climate is great, the water is cool but not too cold, and the waves, depending on which beach you go to, can range from small to huge.

Manoa Falls

A beautiful hike leads to gorgeous Manoa Valls in the lush Manoa Valley. The trail is about three quarters of a mile near a rocky stream and comes to an end at the falls. The falls are calming and intriguing, but it's advised to not swim in the pool because the occasional rock has been known to fall in, and you're far away from other people here.

Hanauma Bay

On the very east side of Honolulu attraction, near an area of town called Hawaii Kai, is Hanauma Bay, one of the most famous places on the entire island for snorkeling. The bay, sunken into a crater with a gorgeous stretch of golden sand, is a nature reserve and marine sanctuary. When you arrive at Hanauma Bay, you’re normally required to watch a short video about the marine life and the preservation of it, and you can then take the short 5 minute hike to the bottom of the crater to get to the beach and get in the cool clear water.
